Tiny fingers, sleepy stretches and the way your baby fits into your arms. Natural newborn photographs give you something to return to as those first weeks become a memory.

I’m Mags. I photograph newborns in my Melrose studio and in families’ homes, with gentle guidance and time for feeding, changing and cuddles.

Collections from £85, including digital photographs and matching prints.

Reserve your session with a £50 deposit, deducted from your chosen collection. Choose your photographs after you’ve seen your gallery.

What to expect

Time to settle

Allow approximately 2 hours for your studio session, including breaks for feeds, changes and cuddles.

Everything ready for your baby

Wraps, blankets and simple props are provided. I’ll explain what to bring before your appointment.

Photographs with the people who love them

If you’d like parents or siblings included, let me know when you enquire so I can explain the options for your collection.

You don’t need to decide how many photographs to buy before meeting your baby—or before seeing your images. Your £50 deposit is part of the collection price, rather than an additional charge.

How booking works

1. Tell me your due date—or your baby’s age

You can enquire during pregnancy or after your baby arrives. I’ll explain availability and answer your questions.

2. Reserve your session

Your £50 deposit reserves your booking. If you book during pregnancy, we reserve space around your due date and arrange the final appointment once your baby arrives.

3. Enjoy your session

Come to the studio, or welcome me into your home. We’ll take things at your baby’s pace.

4. Choose your photographs

Once your edited gallery is ready, choose your collection and the photographs you’d like to keep.

Your questions, answered

When should I book?

You can book during pregnancy to reserve space around your due date. We’ll arrange the final session date after your baby arrives.

My baby is already here. Can I still enquire?

Absolutely. Send me your baby’s age and I’ll explain the available options.

What if my baby arrives early or late?

Let me know once they arrive, and we’ll arrange the appointment around you and your baby.

What if my baby doesn’t sleep?

Awake photographs can be beautiful too. We’ll follow your baby’s cues and pause whenever they need feeding, changing or comfort.

Do I need to choose a collection before the session?

No. You choose after viewing your edited photographs. The £50 deposit is deducted from the collection total.
